Responsible gambling for UK players

If gambling is harming you or someone close to you, start with the help lines in the first section. The rest of the page covers limits, self-exclusion and age.

Free help for UK players

Contact a help service as soon as gambling worries you, whether for your own sake or for someone else's. You do not have to be sure there is a problem first.

In England and Scotland, call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.

In Wales, call the NHS Wales Helpline on 0808 2819 265.

These numbers come from GambleAware's help page, read on 30 September 2026, because we could not read the website of GamCare, which runs the National Gambling Helpline.

These services are for Great Britain only. GambleAware says: "These support services are available only to Great Britain residents." We have not recorded a Northern Ireland help line, so we state none.

Keep it in proportion

Decide your limits before you play, not while you are playing: how much you can afford to lose and how long you will spend.

Take a break when play stops feeling like a pastime. If you feel pressure to win back what you have lost, stop and talk to someone.

Look in your account settings for any deposit limit, time limit or break option the casino gives you, and use it. We have not recorded any casino's own tools for this page, so we cannot say which tools a given casino offers.

Nothing on Parrowby is a reason to gamble. How we read operators and registers is set out on the page about how we check UK casino operators.

Sister sites and self-exclusion

If you want to block yourself from gambling online, register with Gamstop.

Gamstop says that when you register with Gamstop Online you will be blocked from accessing gambling websites and apps licensed in Great Britain.

The Gambling Commission also says that gambling businesses are required to have their own self-exclusion arrangements in place.

A sister site, meaning a site run by the same operator or owner, is never a way around a self-exclusion. If you have excluded yourself from one site, do not look to another to carry on gambling; contact a help service from the list above.

Adults only

Parrowby is written for adults aged 18 or over.

The Gambling Commission says that in most cases, the minimum legal age for gambling in Great Britain is 18. If you are under 18, do not gamble, and do not use anyone else's account.

If you share a device with someone who is at risk from gambling, or with a child, block gambling sites on it. Give each person their own login, and protect yours with a password nobody else knows.

Open the device's settings and look for parental controls, screen time or content restrictions. Turn on the website filter and choose the option that blocks gambling sites; if it only lets you list sites, add each gambling site the person uses.

Set the app store so that installing a new app needs a passcode, and remove any gambling app already on the device.

Protect these settings with a passcode only you know, and check every few weeks that the filter is still on.

Log out of every gambling account when you finish, and do not let the browser save passwords or card details for gambling sites.

We name no blocking product here.
